"Is ADD/ADHD invented for doctors to make more money? I feel that ADD may not actually exist? Is it all just perhaps a behavioural concern?" These questions were raised in an e-mail to LADD® yesterday from a man of 30 who goes on to describe his life thus:
A DREAM IS LIKE A RACE – YOU NEVER GIVE UP... you keep fighting until you get there.
We all dream. I was the dreaming champion at school (as all of us ADDers are). But there are different types of dreams. I'm not talking about the airy fairy day dream type dream, I'm talking about a real dream that gets under your skin, hits you in the gut and really takes hold of you, dreams with meaning and purpose to you! Those are the dreams you need to hold onto, to write down and come back to. Don't let them flit away in the ADHD storm inside your head, or is that just me?
Debbie Franckeiss - Our Western Cape LADD® ADHD Coach
Debbie has decided to take a sabbatical from ADHD Coaching and focus on her family. She will however continue with her current clients and will also host occasional ADHD Coffee and Chat Mornings. If you would like to participate in these please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
The LADD® team understand that ADHD Coaching is very emotionally draining and we wish Debbie a happy rest with her family and will welcome her back as soon as she feels ready again.
Andre lives in Cape Town and would love to chat to Parents, Learners and Educators about his life as an undiagnosed ADDer and what he is currently doing. He is super-passionate about Sport and Exercise.
If your school or community would like to have him do a talk please contact me (Pat Pughe-Parry) on email@example.com.
