I have diabetes therefore I am a diabetic, I have HIV therefore I am HIV +, I have a dependency on drugs or alcohol therfore I am an addict, I have chronic depression therefore I am a depressive. I have the genetic characteristics of an adult female therefore I am a woman.

It normally starts something like this - your child’s teachers says she can’t control your child, and you realise that maybe you can’t either. That makes you angry, it’s her job to teach your child anyway.
But when she says your child is not performing to potential, and may even fail that’s when you realise that something has to be done, but what?
