One of our small groups was nearing the end of the 12 Week LADD ADHD Programme when one of the members commented that her child aged 6 was still wetting the bed.
The response was amazing. 4 other members of the group immediately admitted that their ADHD children were also bed-wetters.
This issue had no doubt been an embarrassment to the Moms who felt that by 6, 7, 8 their child should not be having these problems. One Mom had even resorted to putting her child back into nappies at night.
It was such a relief to be able to chat about bed wetting and how common a problem it is with ADHD children and what treatments they had tried to overcome this.
ADDers battle with anxiety and bed wetting is a fairly common consequence of anxiety.
Talking about body issues, another client told us about a condition she called Mega Colon which we had never heard of before. ADDers get so hyper-focused when they are interested in something that they forget to go to the loo when they need to. They keep putting it off and ignoring nature's call until the situation gets so bad that they become severely constipated.
Problems shared are problems halved.
